Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born July 3, 1985, in Moscow. She attended university in London as well as Moscow and earned a Master's Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. In July 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign which aims to promote public awareness and action regarding environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the globe. IDEA is geared towards young people and how they can help solve environmental problems.
She was elected as a representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation in May 2007. Through various projects that span education as well as sports, science and technology the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes significantly to the nation's socio-economic growth. In 2011 she was made Vice-President of the Foundation.

In 2007 Leyla Aliyeva launched the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow. Leyla Aliyeva Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva in the production of the magazine that is English-language. On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected the Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) which is a non-profit organization that supports Azerbaijani youngsters and those living in Russia. Leyla Alayeva was awarded the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 for her contributions to the relations between Russia and Azerbaijani. In New York she was also given the "Key To Life" award in November 2011, to honor her humanitarian projects for children.
