Three fighters from the Berston Field House boxing club on the north side of Flint are participating in the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma next week. Jaquan McElroy and Christopher Thompson are state champions, and they are now heading towards the south.


Jason Crutchfield, their trainer Jason Crutchfield, their trainer, has been encouraging them to focus on their abilities before they fight. Crutchfield stated that it is very rare for amateur fighters to get to this point in professional competition, but he believes that they can succeed.


Training
