TAEHYUN POV

*door opens*
Enters Kang Taehyun, with hands full of shopping bags.
"Kai, can you come help me with this?" He yells from the front door of their not so luxury apartment.
. . . no response
"Kai?"
he repeated again,
"Kai?"
still no answer.
He let out a loud sigh before making his way to the kitchen side, placing the bags down on the counter and turning and walking down the hallway to his roommate's sorry excuse of a bedroom. Upon opening the door he was greeted with... well.. nothing.
Huening Kai, Taehyun's best friend for years, was sat there at his desk with his chunky black headphones on playing some sort of game.
"Kai, help me with the groceries." It was beginning to sound more like an order than a request. However, there was still no reply. Just the intense clicking of huening's keyboard. At this point, Taehyun was slowly but surely losing his cool. He approached the tall, brown-haired man and yanked the headphones off of his head.
"Kai, I've called you four times now." he says, a hint of anger in his voice. "What's so important that you have to have your volume up so high?"
Kai turns around, slightly startled.
"ah.. sorry hyung, there's just this new game that came out and I-"
He was interrupted by Taehyun.
"I'm sick and tired of your excuses Huening." He said, not quite yelling, but not quiet either. "I don't care what this new game is, why don't you go out and get a job instead of sitting here all day doing fuck all useful?"
He was stunned into silence. Taehyun had never said anything like this before.
"Hyung, I-"
"I don't want to hear it, I have a headache already. Just help with the groc-"
*slam*
Huening Kai had already left the room and gone outside. Taehyun let out another sigh, heading to the kitchen to pack away the groceries, alone.

HUENING POV

"ack.. what a pain.."
*text message notification*

🐰: hey guys, wanna meet up?
🦊: sure, be at the central plaza in 20
🦊: last one there's a loser
🐻: I can't come out rn, I'm babysitting
🦊: ewww
🐰: that's fine, you can come with us next time
🐿️: have you guys heard from huening? he left without a warning
🦊: did you lecture him again?
🐿️: not on purpose.. he just never does anything useful.
🐿️: always on that damn computer
🐰: lololol
🐿️: what's so funny?
🦊: you sound like my mom LMAO

*laughs*

🐰: but to answer your question, no we havent
🐻: stop talking so much my phones blowing up

🐿️: I'll sit this one out, I actually have work to do, unlike you lot.
🦊: okaaay.. your loss ;)

"those idiots.." kai let's out a soft chuckle before continuing his journey to the plaza.
