So some people wanted to know what's the story behind this video of me and Hozier that I added a few months ago.
So in 2013 Tom Odell posted on Facebook 3 links and I wanted to check them out. I really liked the name "Hozier" so I clicked on that one, I heard his song for the first time and fell in love with his voice. I tried to find any photos but there were only 3 of him. I didn't know he was going to be so important to me. His account on Twitter wasn't verified and he didn't have very many followers. Every time I was talking about him no one knew who he was. To be honest when I was playing take me to church to others they didn't like it.
I bought tickets to his first show in Glasgow in March 2014 and was so happy to see him for the first time.
On 9th of June when my parents, me and my friend Ola were on our way to Glasgow from Aberdeen (it's about 3 hours away) I couldn't breathe, I was crying all the time . When we walked inside I heard his voice because he was practicing before the show.
At 7pm they opened the doors and we were going to the stage and my friend was laughing at me because i was still crying. We were in the first row. And His support Daniel James was good and I met him after the gig. Before 10 pm he tweeted Ola that he'd see what could we do about meeting me after. Hozier was on stage at 10 o'clock. I was shaking, he was looking at me during the show and I was so happy. He waved, smiled and gave me a thumbs up when he went off the stage. I had my drawing for him and we were waiting - just the 2 of us - me and Ola. We were still tweeting him and he came down to see me. I couldn't move but finally I stood up and I hugged him and he didn't expect that. He was holding a cup of tea in his hand and he didn't know what to do, I guess he was surprised. I gave him my drawing, he singed my ticket and I had photo taken with him. I also met Alex and the rest of the band - the old squad. He remembered my name from Twitter and when he was singing my ticket he asked "Sandra yeah, isn't it ?" I didn't know what to do, he's such an angel.
From that day he was even more important to me. He was replying to me on Twitter on any special days(Easter, my/his birthday) he was my little secret. And then he was performing at festivals and more people started like him and he wasn't replying to me as much as earlier. Radios started playing "take me to church" and I was crying every time I heard it. I remember when I heard his song for the first time on the radio it was in Belgium on 10th of August in 2014. When they verified his account on Twitter I was so proud. His dreams were coming true.
Then he announced a new tour in Scotland. I bought tickets and his newly released album and when I came back from my holidays it was waiting for me. I couldn't have been happier.
The next time I saw him was on 16th of November in 2014. This time I went to Glasgow with my friend Natalia and my mom. We were the first at the venue. They opened the doors at 7pm and I was crying all the time. I couldn't breathe but I was so happy. We were in the first row. He was on stage at 9pm. His support was Hannah Grace - she was quite good. He was looking at me again. At the end he was looking straight into my eyes and he threw me his guitar pick but it fell down and no one caught it. Then he took another one and did it again. Natalia caught it, gave it to me and later she bought me a t-shirt. We were waiting for him about an hour and I met Alex again. There were a lot of people waiting for him. That actually made me sad but I was proud. I was second or third in the queue. I hugged him so many times. He remembered me and my name. He's such an amazing person. He later saw my photo and when he replied I was so happy. Oh and he signed my ticket and his album "To Sandra, Good to see you again! Don't cry! :) Hozier x"
After that he noticed me just once till may. I saw him again on 27th of May in 2015 after I came back from my holidays. I bought him a souvenir in Gran Canaria - a small colourful "lucky lizard". This time I went to Glasgow with Ola again and my parents. We were waiting for him and it was so cold. I heard him again before the show and I was crying. I had a letter, a souvenir and an album for him. The doors opened at 7 o'clock. Wyvern Lingo was the support, they were amazing. I really like them. Me and Ola were in the first row. I saw him on stage at 9pm. He was amazing and I noticed his hair were shorter. I was crying all the time. After this we were waiting for him and I met Alex again and Alana - another band member. I think Alex was laughing at me. When Hozier went out there was a big queue and I was the last one waiting for him. He remembered me. I hugged him and I didn't want to go. He signed my ticket and my vinyl album. I gave him my presents. My parents and Ola met him and I was still crying. We were on our way home and I realised how important he is to me. I was even scared to tell him " I love you" because these words are too big. That's stupid but it's true.
I went to Poland (where I come from)on 4th of July just to see him at an Opener Festival, but I was so far away from the stage. I was sad but at least I saw him. The next stop will be in Edinburgh on 8th of January in 2016.
