What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is one Japanese form of bodywork. The practice of Shiatsu is based on the pseudoscientific theories that are based on the ancient Chinese treatment, and includes Qi meridians. Tokujiro Naikoshi pioneered this style of massage in the early 20th century. But, the practice is rooted in an older Japanese technique known as anma.

Yin concepts and Yang concepts

In Chinese theory, yin yang are opposite sides of the one coin. Yin is the darker side of a mountain, while yang refers the side that is sunny. Similar to the yin meridians, they reside on the back of the body. This is also called the part of the shadow. The concepts that underlie these ideas can be found in various other religions.

Shiatsu's Yin and Yang concepts in Shiatsu originate from the idea of yin yang interacting with one another. Though they're not exactly opposites and complement one another, they work together and can transform one another. They are in no way independent. The notion of yin/yang can be found through the body's temperature and its relation to the other systems. These ideas are called "homeostasis" in Western Medicine.

The concepts of empty and full in the shiatsu

Shiatsu practitioners use their knowledge of Yin and Yang concepts, both empty and full in the body, to assist their patients suffering from imbalances in their energetic. For instance, a patient with excess Yang energy can have a hot body, in contrast, a patient who has no Yin energy will feel cold.

These ideas have roots in traditional Chinese wisdom. Yin represents the dark mountain side, while Yang is the lighter aspect. Yin, Yang and every organ have their own characteristics. Both are dependent in that the meridians of Yang as sunside meridians, and Yang meridians being on the shadow side.

The two are both connected to the cyclical nature of energy. The concepts of yin and Yang are closely related to seasonal changes as well as the development of elements. 부산op For example, when Spring comes around, the time transforms into Early Summer, and Early Summer then transforms into Late Summer, and so to. Much like the end of summer, night follows.

In Chinese traditional culture, the concept to Yin and Yang is a classic Chinese notion. The concept of Yin and Yang is a description of the forces in nature that change from one state to the other. The power of Yin as an example increases in spring but drops during the fall. This is evident in the seasons as well as its cyclical nature. They change slowly.

In the past, Chinese philosopher Chu Hsi referred to Yin and Yang as being in a state of waxing and waning according to the Taiji representation, Yin takes birth where Yang has reached its highest point. Shiatsu helps balance the energies of both.

Techniques used

Shiatsu techniques are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, and they are utilized to treat a variety of health problems. The technique of Shiatsu involves various manipulatives that include stretching and rotating your body. They are employed to locate areas where the activity of neurons is elevated. The practitioner of shiatsu can apply a treatment to the area affected.

The practitioner begins with a thorough medical history from the patient. They will assess the patient's emotional state. The practitioner will touch various parts of the body when the patient is clothed. Massage is intended to increase Qi flow which is crucial for the body's proper functioning.

Shiatsu therapy restores energy balance and assists in preventing the buildup of stress. Its principal focus is on muscle and joint disorders, but it can also treat other ailments. Shiatsu can also help with bowel and circulatory disorders, in addition to sprains. Shiatsu can also improve your body/mind awareness, and assist in relieving stress.

Numerous studies have looked at Shiatsu, including those on headaches and lower back pain. Others have examined the impact of Shiatsu on anxiety and sleep. Though the available research isn't extensive enough, some encouraging results have been reported. Many studies also included qualitative research, which provides an accurate picture of patients' outcomes.

The shiatsu treatment can boost circulation, digestion and help with weight loss. It has also been found to increase endurance. Shiatsu therapists ask about patients' diets as well as their health and lifestyle. The therapists will also discuss the patient's physical and emotional well-being. A doctor could consider shiatsu therapy in certain instances.
