Minecraft has two distinct modes. Creative and Survival.



Survival Mode - This is the traditional game. You'll be in a random world, and must collect all the supplies needed to survive. These supplies are all crafted by you, the player, by stepping out and exploring everything the world has to offer. As you travel through caves, dungeons, and vast over-worlds, you'll feel a sense of satisfaction when you look over what you have created. Creative Mode gives you to create a world that is infinitely possible. The world that grows before you can be endlessly personalized by using the different world creation options. These options allow you to modify everything from how big the mountains are to the size the oceans are. You can also choose whether there are oceans. The world can be made flat as well, allowing you to create a blank open canvas to your designs. You can also create a world entirely made of TNT and then watch it explode.
