Artful Journey is a flexible art therapy experiential

The Artful Journey is a flexible art therapy program for adults with physical disabilities. Art therapists are trained to help clients find the right materials and express a wide range of emotions through art. Participants in an Artful Journey session have the opportunity to explore a range of topics, from self-esteem to coping with progressive conditions.

Artful Journey is flexible, strengths-based, and uses multimodal design to address a variety of themes. Participants in the Artful Journey program are invited to engage in four collaborative art and writing interventions. They are able to address topics such as social isolation, depression, and increased reliance on others for daily living. In addition, Artful Journey participants benefit from peer support in a virtual environment.

Art therapy can help patients explore and express feelings about their past. Its expressive, meditative, and cathartic nature helps clients process their emotions and past experiences. In addition, art therapists often assist their patients in creating their own artwork.

Artfull Journey is a non profit organization that helps incarcerated adults in the community create and sell original artwork. Founded by Mark Hierholzer and four other individuals, the organization was incorporated on June 19, 2014. It offers weekly painting classes at The Carmel School in Ruther Glen, Virginia, and aims to inspire a new generation of global citizens by teaching them how to make art.

It is a future generation arts education program

Artfull Schools believes that exposing young people to the arts can help them become more thoughtful, creative global citizens. Arts education in K-12 schools is essential for the creativity of the next generation.
