The Premier Club is an upgrade of the annual membership. Benefits include discounts at Solomon's General Store, promotional pet items, cosmetics, and monthly rewards. Premier Club was launched in 2012. It was previously offered in three tiers: Silver, Bronze, and Gold. However, it's now only available as a year-long package. Premier Club can be bought with cash or exchanged through the game using 20 bonds.



On 4 May 2022 the regular annual membership package was revised to include the benefits of Premier Club and was renamed Premier Membership. [1]



Premier Club members can access the Premier Club Vault once a month to gain some rewards, such as stars, experience lamps and skilling packs.



VIP Chat Badges are toggleable and include a chat option for Moderators of Player ( ). For more information about badges, please refer to the following section.

Forums[edit

In 2019 and previous years, when Gold Premier Club Membership was purchased and activated, the

, or lack of badge in the case of new or returning members. Starting with the 2020 package, the Gold Premier Member forum badge was discontinued. Gold Premier Members now show the same regular Member badge as players with standard package subscriptions.





Premier Club 2022[edit | edit source]

Premier Club 2022 was initially only available from 15 November 2021 until 1 March 2022, however, on 4 May 2022 it became available year-round as the 12-month membership option. Premier Club 2022 was the first to no longer be sold in 3 different packages (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and instead was offered as one annual package. Premier Club 2021 players who were affected by the login lockout were offered a discount which was applied to their account automatically. Summer Premier Club subscribers who decide to purchase Premier Club 2022 will have their daily, weekly and monthly perks stacked and membership months extended by a further 12 months.[2]

Monthly rewards[edit

The "Benefits Tab" tab in the Marketplace allows players to look over all unclaimed and forthcoming monthly drops. In addition to the monthly rewards 1,000 oddments were given every month.

Premier Club 2021 was available from 16 November 2020 until 1 March 2021. Players who had bought only the bronze or silver tier were given an option to upgrade past 1 March. The Gold package was additionally offered again in August of 2021 as part of the Summer Sale.[1]

1 RuneCoin is worth roughly 387 loyalty points. The value of Membership & SOF spins remained the same but the value from RuneCoins to Loyalty points has reduced.

Jagex valued the Bloodpouncer pet as $35USD. This has not been included in the calculation.

Controversy[edit | edit source] Some controversies arose when the premier club was announced:

- According to some players, they would have to pay more money for membership once the premier club membership time ran out, even if they were paying less before (grandfathered in before Jagex increased the price from $5.00 USD to $5.95 USD). This angered many players who were paying only $5.00 a month, since they thought they would be paying the lower price once their premier club ran out. runescape In the Premier Club FAQ thread on the forums Jagex has clarified that the price you pay will not change, you will be able to continue with the same subscription price after the 3, 6 or 12 months.
- For the players who bought Gold premier club, the vanity items were not added if they already had some or all of the items. Some players viewed this as a waste of money, and voiced concern that the recently-released Bloodpouncer pet should have been added as well. This appears to be rectified as of 22 October 2013.
- Jagex had said that the vanity items would disappear forever, making them rare items and only obtainable from Gold membership. However a couple of months later Jagex released some of the vanity items on the Solomon General store; players who used a keepsake key on a Flaming Skull were not refunded which led to some negative feedback threads about the Gold premier club on the RuneScape Forums.
