Minecraft maker Mojang plans a spin-off game

Mojang, the Minecraft maker, is creating an off-shoot game based on its block-building game.
It is called Minecraft: Story Mode, it is an episodic game that takes place in the well-known Minecraft world, but introduces some new characters into the world.

Telltale Games, which has produced a number of episodic titles has developed the game.
The first episode will be available on consoles, computers and Macs in 2015, and also on Android devices.
So far, no details about what it will be like has been revealed. Mojang has created a brief browser-based game called InfoQuest II to demonstrate what it could appear like.
In a blog post Mojang stated that the game will be developed with the support of the Minecraft community.
It was created to assure players that Story Mode is not violent and bloody like other Telltale games. Telltale's most recent titles include Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and games based on Game of Thrones and the zombie-themed thriller The Walking Dead.
"Telltale's Minecraft-like game will feel like Minecraft," stated Mojang, "but it's an entirely original take that is influenced by our game."
The news of Story Mode comes soon after Mojang released a completed version of its Scrolls card-based game of magic fighting.
