How to create an Iron Golem in Minecraft and what they're for

To protect a village, make a Minecraft Iron Golem

To protect your village and its inhabitants against any threat, make an Minecraft Iron Golem. These imposing guards can defend villagers and buildings against any hostile mobs in Minecraft (opens new tab), such as zombies or skeletons or even raids by villagers. Yurock.Net Iron Golems, unlike most other mobs in Minecraft, can be crafted. However, they also naturally spawn in villages. Here's how you can create them and how they function.

How do you make an Iron Golem in Minecraft

There is no need for an Crafting Table to create a Minecraft Iron Golem. Instead, you will have to arrange blocks in a particular formation.

four Iron Blocks (each one containing nine Iron Ingots in an Crafting Table) and one Pumpkin in Java Edition it must be a Carved Pumpkin, Jack O'Lantern or a Jack O'Lantern. In Bedrock Edition it can be any normal pumpkin. To make it look like a scarecrow made of iron, place the Iron Blocks into a T shape and then add the Pumpkin in the middle. Use the above picture for inspiration!

If there is no connecting blocks (other than the floor it was placed on), placing the Pumpkin last will trigger an Iron Golem spawn. If you have the necessary materials you'll be able to repeat this as many times as you'd like to build your own personal army.

What Iron Golems do in Minecraft

You can better secure yourself with Minecraft Netherite armor

Iron Golems have sworn that they will defend players and villager's alike if you don't engage in a violent attack. They are neutral mobs, so unlike cows, pigs, and the like they are not a threat. Golems won't attack you if they target you.

An Iron Golem will slowly roam the town, patrolling it once it's established within the village. If it isn't in a village it will slowly travel to the closest one, fighting hostile mobs along it way. If an Iron Golem takes damage, the player can heal it by applying an Iron Ingot on it.

If you've had enough Iron and have a base or village you wish to defend, Iron Golems are the way forward. They can't be named like normal pets Unfortunately. If you want to have pets, you may be interested in learning to tame Minecraft's foxes.
