Features

The Magnet Pen is a combination of the joy of using a pen and the convenience of a magnet attachment. The magnet in the pen sticks to any metal surface and makes it easy to find wherever you need it.

Andrew Gardner, a Canadian designer, has designed a modular pen using tubular Rare Earth Magnets. The different sections can snap together to form a metallic barrel. It can be used both as a writing instrument and as a finger fidget tool.

The stylus tip can also be hidden inside the segments of the magnetic barrel when it is not being used.

The pen interface can be used on any mobile device that has magnetometers embedded. The pen interface was created by a doctoral student at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and is supervised by Professor Kwangyun Wohn of KAIST's Graduate School of Culture Technology.
Design

Magnetic pen allows you to attach regular pen to any metal surface. Instead of using springs, threads, or pins, the magnetic pen uses a strong Neodymium magnet that retracts the cap and snaps it back on.

Materials
