The Combat System is often encountered in RPG Games.
Action RPG is a popular game genre due to many factors. This genre has a rich story and interesting characters. This genre is known for its long gameplay times. Action RPG RPG games come at a steep price, so the cost of buying them is often proportional to what you get.



RPG games come with many different combat systems. Each one requires a different mindset and has its own dynamics. You can like some combat systems, but at the same time, you may not suit others.

1. Turn-Based Combat
Turn-based combat is a very old system. In this system, each character will take action in turn, usually influenced by a character attribute such as _speed. When it's your turn, the menu of actions/movement choices will open. Time will stop for you to decide what you want with your character. Even if you decide to wait 15 minutes, your opponent as well as your party will notice.

Turn-based combat is slowest, so it might be boring. This combat system emphasizes the players' ability to devise strategies and is therefore slowest. Each character's turn is crucial because each enemy has unique characteristics that require a different strategy. When facing a boss, even the smallest error can prove fatal.

2. Active Time Battle (ATB)
Active Time Battle bears little resemblance to turn-based battles. Each character can move whenever it is their turn. What that character does will depend on what you choose in the menu.

It is important to note that each character's turn doesn't come alternately. Instead, it occurs after the character's waiting period is completed. It's not the same with waiting and/or being busy thinking about and making decisions. Time goes by fast. This means that your party members and enemies, as well as other characters, will keep moving. If you fail to make quick decisions, the character control you have will either stay still or perform the default (usually a basic attack) depending on the game.
