Minecraft is still receiving regular updates, while Minecraft was added to Xbox Game Pass in April 2019; this has surely increased the reach of the popular game even further.
Minecraft boss Helen Chiang told Business Insider that Minecraft is a game players love returning to again and again. Chiang said that while it might not be the most popular, there are plenty of amazing games to play. But, they love to return to Minecraft.

There's no word yet on whether the film will be animated or live action or a hybrid nor do we know who may star in it. At one time, Steve Carell was apparently involved in the project, though it's not clear if that's the case.
