WRUP: All DPS Players Are Sharks Edition

It's time to reveal a fact that many MMO players aren't aware of that all DPS players can be considered sharks. You might be wondering why so many DPS are glued to the mantra "GOGOGO" because slowing down even a fraction of a second means they will be dead. They're required to keep swimming and killing. This is what MMOs are doing to sharks all over the world. Don't ask how a shark is able to type or play the game. You just need to realize that the rogue who will not wait for the tank or the healer or other DPS can't avoid doing what he does. He's a shark.



One of the Massively staff members could be a shark, but I'm not able to confirm or deny it. Maybe he or she announces his or his or her status as sharks in this week's WRUP, or perhaps it's just a normal roundup of our weekend plans as always. You'll never know until you've read the rest of the article, although you should share what you're doing down in the comments regardless.



@Beau_Hindman - I am definitely playing more State of Decay. It's a fantastic single-player game and easily one of my favorite games. For MMORPGs I'm experimenting with the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness, I'll be enjoying the latest patch of DC Universe Online, and I'll also be getting some action in Neverwinter I believe it is one of the most stunning and -sounding MMOs currently available.



@nbrianna: I returned to World of Warcraft with a group of guildies, so I'll be leveling some old toons as well as exploring some Pandaria dungeons that I've never played. Should be enjoyable!



@Eliot_Lefebvre @Eliot_Lefebvre World of Warcraft is currently my side game slot. Although there are some aspects that I'm not happy with, it's still something I love. Beyond that, I have more Final Fantasy XIV questing and endgame events that I want to participate in which is why that will be my main goal.

@Sypster I don't have big plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the pre-launch countdown mode of Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to try a few more scenarios in The Secret World, and perhaps even play some of the World of Warcraft stuff the kids love these days.



@mvmatt: My plans for the weekend include schoolwork, soup and, if I'm lucky -- some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online, to remind myself why it was a failure and to reflect on the amazing things that nearly kept me there, before the servers close next month. In addition I'd like to spend some time with Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World and The Secret World, both of which I've neglected for a while. Maybe perhaps, I'll cap some fools in Battlefield 4.



@MikedotFoster: This weekend, I'll be checking out the Three Spirits Dota 2 Update. I'll also spend some time back in World of Warcraft; that Warlords of Draenor announcement has me riled again.



@MJ_Guthrie: I'm planning to focus the majority of my gaming time (and I'll be playing regardless, sickness be darned!) Trying to get more done in the war of The Secret World on Filth. I would like to have the pet and the bee suit so badly that I don't know how to get enough tokens. But I will try! Did I mention I am stubborn? When not engaged in that, I will be playing a game or two and testing new builds. I will also be playing different races to be my new Channeler in EverQuest II. It has been narrowed down to Ratonga or Kerra. Once I get that, I'll only need 30 hours to customize the looks. The name is only the beginning.



@RichieProcopio: This weekend I'll be drunk and hallucinating. No, I'm not going to a frat party; I'll be paying the tower of dreams a visit in Guild Wars 2 and see what Scarlet and her new serpentine allies have been doing in Kessex Hills. Oh and Hearthstone!
