The game entered the Classic phase of development. This included the Survival Test, Multiplayer Test as well as more content like mobs, blocks, and more Physics.
In comparison to Lego Creator, Minecraft relied exclusively on a hard-wired fixed grid, meaning blocks and other objects could be placed only on the exact integer coordinates the grid itself was predetermined. This was a common system in games like SimCity, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Sim Theme Park, among other games. Minecraft had inherited that system from those past games, resulting in the block grid system we are familiar with today. The hard-wired grid had a disadvantage in that only one tile or block could be placed at any given spot at a particular moment. This was due to the coordinate's information would be taken up by the tile or block instead of the empty data, which was air that was previously there. City 2020 Since the tile took up the co-ordinate's data, you can't place more than one torch in the exact same spot as the previous. This, along with other factors, leads to serious issues that we'll discuss later in this section.
