Daniel discussed the removal of the Essence of Immortals from the PTR and the content that is progressive of Quel'Danas awhile some time ago, which led me to think about progress.
It's not that terribly or a catastrophe to take out that little bit of the Sunwell Plateau. The fact that it is there could be a hindrance for the less populated servers that are raiding light that are preventing two or three guilds that raid back from experiencing content simply because they picked the wrong server to play on. I can understand the reason for the removal, but my mind, being the odd creature, it is being used to fuel similar topics, my brain cells discussing it amongst themselves.

How important is the server's performance? World progression is generally remembered by the WoW community. Nearly everyone is familiar with the world's firsts, seconds and thirds. Does it matter at the server level? Can you identify the first person who downed Illidan on your server? Second? Fifth? What about Kael’thas? Will you remember who killed Kil'jaeden first?
My home server keeps track of all this information in a sticky progression thread. We have charts for Tier 4 5, 6 and 4 content. One chart will be available for the Sunwell. Although this isn't a lot of information, it's interesting to see who's who in the progression process, and to watch raids work their way up from the ground. As someone who's already in the thick of Black Temple, it is extremely exciting for me when the time comes to add another guild to the Tier 6 progression list. I am a huge fan of high-end content, and I'm thrilled when others get a chance to see it, too.
Hm. Before I go off on a tangent about this Do any of you play on servers that have the same? Can you name the first guild on your server that took down Illidan?
