You can install mods in "Minecraft" by playing the "Java Edition" and then using the third-party Minecraft Forge app. Minecraft Forge will create a folder to save your mods and allow them to be played in Minecraft. You can also make use of Minecraft Forge to install resource packs that alter the game's graphics.
If you like "Minecraft," but are becoming bored of the game, you might consider looking into mods.
Mods, short for "modifications," are pieces of software that can change how "Minecraft" functions. Modifications can alter the rules of the time-space continuum. Some mods transform enemies into incredibly powerful zombies. You can mix some mods such as custom weapons and flags to transform your game into a heated game of Capture the Flag.
There are also resource packs (also called texture packs) that alter the textures and the visual appearance of each item in the game. They are great for making the game look different while still delivering the same gameplay.
Please note that mods and resource packs are compatible with the Java Edition of "Minecraft," which is available for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Mac.
How to install the mods 'Minecraft'

Do your own research regardless of the source. Like all third-party downloads, you'll need to dig a little to ensure that the mod download is secure and won't snare your game with bugs - or worse, installing malware.
Also , ensure that any mod you download is compatible with the particular version of "Minecraft" that you're running.
Both these sites have search functions and comment sections, which permit users to comment on any issues they've experienced from the mod download.
Curseforge lets you sort mods by mods using millions of downloads.

Troubleshooting
Don't panic if "Minecraft" isn't loading after installing mods. Problems and bugs will occur, and usually for simple reasons.
You must ensure that you have copied the correct files and the mod you downloaded is compatible with your version of "Minecraft".
