Minecraft: All of Denmark almost recreated

The entirety of Denmark has been recreated in the virtual world of Minecraft.
The whole country has been faithfully replicated in the hugely popular style of building blocks by the Danish government.
Danish residents are encouraged to "freely move freely around Denmark" and to "find your own residential area to build and teardown."
In the world, more than 50 million Minecraft copies have been sold.
Also known as a "sandbox" game, the title allows players to live in a virtual world using building blocks to create everything from basic structures to entire worlds.
Minecraft was created by Markus "Notch" who is an Swedish independent developer.

The Danish government has said that the maps were designed to be used as an educational tool that could be used to suggest "virtual field excursions" to remote areas of the country.
Flat roofs
There are no specific goals to achieve other than a continued existence.
Recreating real-world locations is of particular interest for many players.
An intern from the UK's Ordnance Survey team created 86,000 sq. miles (2244,000 sq km) of accurate geographical landscapes last year.
However the Danish project is more ambitious and includes more detailed renderings of towns and buildings.
According to the team behind it, the only difference was that the roofs were not flat.
It also prohibits the use of one of the game's typical tools - explosives.
