The Porsche Macan GTS Gets a Facelift For 2022

<p>Porsche is moving towards an electric future, but the company's gas-powered Macan crossover gets a facelift for 2022 as a stopgap. The facelift includes a few new features and trim levels to keep things fresh, but the real highlight is the GTS's powertrain.</p>
<p>The Macan GTS still carries over the same 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 from last year, but it's been tuned for an impressive 434 horsepower. That's enough to sprint from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 169 miles per hour.</p>
<h2>Price</h2>
<p>For the 2022 model year, the Porsche Macan gains a mid-cycle refresh and more powerful engine options. It also gets a new interior with touch-sensitive center console buttons.</p>
<p>The base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 261 horsepower, up 13 from last year. You can upgrade to the S, which comes with a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 that develops 375 horsepower.</p>
<p>If you're looking for something truly high-performance, you'll have to look to the top-tier GTS. It's still powered by the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 but now churns out 434 hp, thanks to an extensive powertrain tune.</p>
<p>To top it off, the GTS comes with a sport exhaust system, more aggressively bolstered front seats, 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, unique side skirts, clear LED taillights, adaptive air suspension, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and a 10-millimeter drop in ride height. It even includes the contents of the Sport Chrono Package, which gives you a stopwatch and a Sport Plus drive mode.</p>

<p>Porsche is on a mission to make its next-generation electric Macan the best it can be. Until Check For Updates happens, however, the company gave its gas-powered version of the crossover one final facelift.</p>
<p>The Macan GTS is a fantastic example of what Porsche does best: obsessively crafted vehicles that are also exciting to drive. In this case, that means a 434-hp twin-turbo V6 that does zero-100 km/h in a snap, then corners in a way that makes most sports cars blush.</p>
<p>In the cabin, the Macan gets a new center console design with touch-sensitive controls that look great, and have haptic feedback when you press them. The touchscreen infotainment system gets a fresh redesign, and the gear selector is shorter and more easily accessible.</p>
