Minecraft's new Moderation Features have some Players Worried

Minecraft is a place for players to express themselves in many different ways. You can use the area as an Dungeons & Dragons map or even recreate your favorite games, or simply play with your friends. It's likely due to this that the new moderation tools are making people concerned.



Let's be honest about this moderators are a must on the internet since you literally can't trust people not to be the worst given the chance. They must work. A couple of Redditors have expressed their views on the subject and they're not impressed at all. This video contains some very brutal language. If you decide to watch it, be aware that there is a warning right at the beginning. While the specifics of their worries are more nuanced but you can usually break down the issues into two parts. The first is that it's possible to use the system in a way to have people banned from a server who shouldn't be, specifically in response to being banned from the server. Another issue is that players have different standards of what's acceptable and different communities have their own rules.
