Wow, what a incredible BlizzCon! It was great meeting everyone at the WoW Insider party. I wanted to take a moment and thank all those who reached out to me to say hello. It's quite humbling!

Is there any healing potential in the new Mists of Pandaria expansion? We didn't really see much in terms of a philosophical change. Healing itself was not mentioned. So what gives? What do we expect from healers entering 5.0? Unfortunately it's not much. But, keep reading.

Healing changes or (lack of)

I don't remember anything relevant to healing being asked during Q&A's. The Q&A session on Thursday with developers was not as good. We'll probably learn more about healing at a later date.

Either way, from what I've observed, the current healing philosophy and method will continue to be used into the next expansion. This means that there won't be to be a new, flimsy learning curve. You won't be overwhelmed when entering the new dungeons or anything like that. You've had at least one expansion to master the current healing system. For single-target healing, we'll use our small heal medium heal and large heal once again. It's not like Firelands where we could be a little more efficient. I believe that once we set to the normal modes or encounters in challenge mode we'll begin to see different healing options.

Are you ready to heal heroically with next to no mana? I know I am! That's OK, though. Just like in the current tiers, once we have some success, these levels of mana management can be a bit relaxed. We just need some gear; then we can go back to being inefficient.

New talent system

It's still too early to be critical about something like this. I'm optimistic that it will turn out positive for all the healing classes. I personally believe that priests and shamans won this one. I didn't notice any the healing abilities of druids, but. There was a significant variety of talents that were associated with DPS stuff. Naturally they're far from over but. But I certainly see the potential in an approach.

Priests is the ultimate trolling class, being between Life Grip or Void Swap. From my understanding, though, Void Swap will automatically switch health with a target player. I believe that the health pool will be switched after the effect has ended. We've seen a few more healing cooldowns like the Shaman Healing Tide Totem.

Already, the 4.3 patch has brought about significant changes to Paladins' healing spells and abilities. It's unclear whether holy will get the same changes in the new expansion. It doesn't seem that there are many holy talents.

The monk

How many of you have plans on rerolling monks? I'm among them. At the very least I'd like to increase the power level of one to 85 in just a few days. I'm a bit sceptical about the fact that we've yet to see any monk healing tool kits on the market. According to my understanding the monks "healing gimmick" will be different from the other healing classes we are taking on right now. It would be nice to have a class that can heal while DPSing. DPS healing is feasible, we've confirmed this. It's not popular in some circles, but we know that DPS healing is an option (and for some, a standard). https://grnonline.info/ I'm wondering if it'll be something like monks could smash into the face of their adversaries and then just use their healing spells on the rest of the group. Who knows? !

I did have the opportunity to demo the monk while at BlizzCon. These furry creatures are wonderful to play with. I just wish I had more hands-on experience with them as they gain experience but they were pulling out monks pretty early. Rerolling as a Pandaren would need to wait until I can get my raid-related symptoms under control.

Oh, and one more thing.

Raid Finder tool

It's not exactly related to expansion, but the new Raid Finder tool came out on the patch 4.3 PTR servers and I wanted to give it a spin. After going through the 14 times a player left the group, and prompting me to confirm, I finally gained access. It appears that the Raid Finder composition is comprised of two tanks with six healers, and 17 different DPS players. It seems to be an efficient system. The only downside is getting all 25 players ready for hitting at the same time. It may take some time as some players just love to keep dropping and so on.

The Raid Finder will cause a lot of trouble live if it remains the way it is in a stream.

That's all I can offer for this week. Do you have any healing-related questions? Or thoughts about our current meta-games for healing. We're probably keeping the current approach to healing the same for the moment.

I, for one, cannot wait for this to be over. Do you want to kill Deathwing?
