Yesterday was the 9th birthday of my son! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. The easiest way to design one of those is to search for other ideas from others! So I made this board. Sunny By Design had many wonderful things to offer. Here's my tribute to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. The tiny Chubby drinks. You can tear the paper and then put on your faces.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have coated the ends with red melted chocolate, but time ran away from me. The slime balls were intended to be green jello, but that was left home in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi beans!



Sorry for the blurry image. I made a few TNT bundles but decided not to make them. Instead, I put them in glass. My favorite part of the party was when my exclamation "There are still many fruits and vegetables left!" Minecraft Servers I'm going to put them in your loot bags even if you don't consume the fruits and vegetables today. There was a huge shush to the table and the food was being eaten. :



The cake was actually a brownie. I decided to leave the edges uniced as the brownie would be softer. Fluffy Boiled Frosting was the frosting. It wasn't sweet at all. We had made too many cakes, so I made meringue puffs. These were also left at home.



Here's something I've recently learned: to make meringue you beat your egg whites, heat the oven to 350, put them in, switch off the oven and leave until the oven cools down. It's that simple.



The signs and grass leaves came made by Sizzix dies. The big, honkin' thick ones. It can be done with the cuttlebug with B plates at the bottom and a top. The A plate should not be used at all. We booked the local arena to let off some party energy.



We go to the general skating once a week. this boy has made a huge leap in the past few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



And the loot inside. I don't like giving loot bags filled with small things. So I made hand-made creeper cookies, which took two days to make and a trip the local bakery to freeze (Thanks Flying Fox) and a CD of Minecraft Parodies. I found the title on YouTube and gave it to my husband to make his magic. And then some other snacky things.



It's over with the birthday celebration! (paper characters)



It was great fun!



Edited May 8: Wow, you are probably on a reading frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we wouldn't want to do for our children. This post has had nearly 10,000 hits so far. That's a lot of hits in my world. People have been pinning my creeper juice bottles like mad. Awesome. But look at my sidebar. There are only 13 followers. It makes me feel lonely.
