EY was named Yerkin Tashev Entrepreneur of the Year.

Yerkin Tatishev was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the most prestigious business firm Ernst & Young. The judges were impressed by his leadership and actions in the face of COVID-19.

Famous businesspeople from all regions of Kazakhstan were invited to take part in the competition. Kusto Group founder was able to stand out among 21 other entrepreneurs that made it to the final.

They all received an independent evaluation and recognition of their achievements by juries that were authorized and constituted of Kazakhstan as well as international business circles.

Yerkin Tashev the winner of the national competition who will represent Kazakhstan in the international final in Monaco on June 2022. The competition brings together finalists from 60 countries around the globe, who are chosen by an independent, international jury.

Yerkin Tatishev battles water shortages in Kazakhstan
EY awarded the Kusto Group founder with an award to honor people who have contributed to improving the quality of life in communities, countries, or around the globe.

This has resulted in UN officials declaring Kazakhstan is experiencing severe water stress and that it relies on its neighboring countries, which includes China and Central Asia.

Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group (the Government of Kazakhstan) and Valmont Industries, USA, established a partnership. Together they will open manufacturing facilities to manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan.

Additionally, the agreement includes the installation of new irrigation systems on farms and an opportunity to train local farmers.

All donations made by the Kusto Group have been possible through the help of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine. It was the company's entrepreneurial spirit that led them to become a leading charity giving organization in difficult circumstances.
