Channing Tatum is connected to Gambit by a tragic story. This mutant, among the most recognizable of the X-Men group, has endured a a bumpy journey in troubled Hollywood and is always connected to the character from the Class Departed.

For 10 years, Tatum tried to make him a real-life character in a film (either solo or as a supporting character) but in the year 2019 Tatum decided to give up. The story began when the actor was set to play Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand but Brett Ratner's crew changed their minds at the final minute. He was then denied another chance to portray him as Gambit in X-Men Origins.
