Hogwarts Legacy, the upcoming Harry Potter RPG from the developers behind Disney Infinity, Cars, and the Toy Story games, will have a new gameplay trailer unveiled at Gamescom 2022. It will be the same show that will include Sonic Frontiers, Return to Monkey Island, Goat Simulator 3, and Minecraft.

Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley on August 23, will kick off Gamescom. The two-hour show is likely to feature the majority of new games and footage at the expo. You can follow our guide to watch Gamescom 2022. A variety of games have been confirmed, including the upcoming, semi open-world Sonic Frontiers, and Ron Gilbert's Monkey Island sequel, but currently, Keighley has also confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will be the subject of an "exclusive new design".
The delay of the game which promises Quidditch and stunningly designed common rooms, is good news for Harry Potter fans. Avalanche, the studio that created Disney Infinity and the tie-in games to Toy Story 3 and Cars, Hogwarts Legacy looks like the perfect Harry Potter game. It's an in-depth, highly atmosphericRPG that lets players to explore the renowned wizarding school at your own pace. We'll be on the Gamescom 2022 show floor and will be bringing you the latest information about Hogwarts Legacy's reveal as well as any other trailers and brand new games.
In the meantime, while we wait for Hogwarts Legacy there is plenty to keep us entertained among the top RPGs on PC. We've also been trying to answer the question that has been lingering in our minds - is Harry Potter in Hogwarts Legacy? Of course, ahead of Gamescom 2022, it's worth a refresher on the coming PC games which include Saints Row and Company of Heroes 3.
