Sharpen your pickaxes and keep an eye on Creepers as the wildly popular building and exploration Sandbox Minecraft is getting ever closer to its PlayStation 4 launch, according to the developer 4J Studios.
"We've handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony for a final test!" The message was published with the image. As we wrote in the last month, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition includes several exclusive features, including support for the DualShock 4 touchpad, save game transfers between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and "a number of DLC that is exclusive to Sony to be released shortly after the launch."
Once Minecraft is released on PlayStation 4, those who own the game on the PS3 will be capable of upgrading to the game's new generation version for $5. 4J Studios, the developer of Minecraft, has not yet revealed a release date or a timeframe for its launch.
