不過青木瓜不是處處都買的到，所以建議讀者們如果想購買，可至各地的傳統市場先向菜販預定或詢問。 青木瓜的烹調方式，從涼拌、熱炒或煮湯，可說是樣樣皆宜，而且滋味更令人稱讚。
東西方的料理中，都可以見到肉腸的蹤跡，歐洲的白香腸、美國的熱狗腸...，然而中國的臘腸獨具風味，有一種風乾的肉香。 臘腸的製造方式，是將五花肉洗淨切丁之後，再利用灌腸器灌入腸衣之中，灌入之後，腸衣上會打上一些小孔，然後以繩分節，經煮沸後再置於陽光下曝曬，或是遇天氣潮濕時，在室內以炭火烘烤。
喜歡口感滑順及要求料理較濃稠，像是炒醬等，建議選用醬油膏來調製；醬油露則屬純釀比例較高的醬油，相當適合用在日式沾蝦上可以提昇油炸海鮮的美味。 還有以健康低鹽為訴求的薄鹽醬油，適合家中有慢性心血管腎臟疾病者使用。
