May I ask if you already downloaded the xfinity app in your mobile device? which device you use is it android or apple device?
-> download the xfinity app and then launch it. Once you launch the app put your xfinity id and password. Locate to the activation entry point by selecting the account icon from
the top-left corner of the Overview tab and then select Activate xFi Gateway or Modem under the Devices section. and GET STARTED.

->Your Mobile phones will ask to scan the QR code. The QR code found at the bottom of your gateway (but if you have problem in scanning then use manual by puting CMAC number

->your Gateway is placed at least a few feet off the floor so that to maximize your wifi coverage

->once youve found the best spot connect your coax cable to your Gateway and active cable outlet (it is commonly found in a living room and mostly it is used in cable tv)
-> Look the light at the top right corner it must be a white because thats indicate your gateway is ready for activating. Select ready to go

->Now your gateway is powered up, select check connection to identify if its active. (SELLing maybe)
-> When its done put your personalizing wifi name and password and then wait for atleast less than 10 minutes to setup. (SELLING)

-> And thats it you can now connect your all device by simply put your personlize wifi name and password

--> Okay for a quick recap we activate your gateway using your mobile device and then we sign in to xfinity app. And we locate the activation entry point and we selectActivate xfi gateway or modem. And the app ask you to scan QR code after that we connect your coax cable to your gateway and active cable outlet. Once the gateway is powered up we check the connection if it is active. And then you personalize your wifi name and password, once its already setup you can now connect internet connection to your device.
