Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series is an episodic narrative-driven game series set in Minecraft's blocky world, coming in 2015 to PC, Mac, mobile devices and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." Telltale has offered clarifications on platforms.
The game features a unique storyline that is influenced by the choices players make, much like Telltale's other games, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead. Telltale claims that the Telltale game series will combine familiar characters with new themes to create an entirely new Minecraft experience. It is in the spirit of the Minecraft community and continues to inspire a new generation.
Mojang provides a bit more detail on the way it approaches story telling on its blog: "We're not intending on creating an official story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It's going to be an awesome game."
