Minecraft Gets Twitch-y with new Partnership For Integrated Streaming

Twitch and Mojang have joined forces to provide an integrated streaming experience for indie sensation Minecraft, the companies announced at MineCon today. Players playing on PC and Mac with an active Twitch account will be able stream their games to their Twitch.tv channels "soon," according to the press announcement.



Matthew DiPietro (Vice President of Marketing at Twitch) stated in the same press release, that Minecraft has "struck a very strong chord" with Twitch users. The popularity of Minecraft is growing and it demonstrates that people enjoy watching video games, even though they are not the most popular eSports games. Mojang's Minecraft PC and MAC users will soon be able to broadcast their games to Twitch with a click of a button



SAN FRANCISCO 2 November 3rd, 2013 Twitch, the world’s most popular video platform and a community for gamers announced today at the sold-out MineCon convention an agreement of partnership with Mojang to offer broadcasting capabilities for Minecraft. Twitch integration into the PC and MAC versions lets gamers broadcast directly to their Twitch channels. The Twitch feature will be available in the near future.
