7 Minecraft Treehouse Ideas for your Next Build - IGN

Treehouses in Minecraft offer a great method of incorporating interesting and unique designs into your home. Whether you're just starting out and are looking for more unique house designs to draw inspiration from, or you're a pro in Minecraft but want to think outside of the box, we've got some ideas and tips for you.

This list is primarily about treehouses. But if you want to explore other types of houses, we have 8 most popular House Minecraft Ideas to help you start!

Minecraft Treehouses

When you browse through our top treehouse design ideas, there are two things you must consider:

- To determine the size of your treehouse, it'll depend on whether you're working on your main hub or an expansion of an existing structure. - Furthermore the biome you decide to build in will determine the extent to which you are able to use naturally-generated trees or trees that you create yourself.

That said, we've put together a list of the most popular treehouse construction ideas for Minecraft that range from basic beginner tree houses to advanced designs and complex designs and everything in between.

1. Simple Treehouse

If you're struggling with how to construct a treehouse in Minecraft It's easy to start. Find a tree with adequate height (a good view of the sky is a bonus) and then add a small four-walled house to it. If it's in the air hanging from the tree or just on the ground next to it to it, it doesn't really matter!

You can extend upwards and outwards, even artificially increasing the size of the tree as you progress through the game. This is a great way to start if you are new to Minecraft and building this kind of home.

2. Jungle Treehouse

It is logical to construct an high-rise structure in the biome that has the highest trees. The abundance of tightly-packed tall trees and hanging vines provide an easy way of connecting several small structures.

Not only do the vines that decorate a number of the trees in Jungle biomes function as a natural ladder, but you can also place them on the leaves completely around the tree you've built to create some natural cover/camouflage.

If you're in a multiplayer world with your friends, this could be a fun, and achievable project, with individual houses creating a lovely Ewok-style village to be the final result!

3. Leaf House

Your home won't be able to look good when it's clinging to a tree. Instead of trying to squeeze your home inside a box put your home's foundation in the tree's leaves. By using shears to collect leaves from trees around and create a bubble of leaves over those that naturally form by the trees.

Though this may limit your range of decoration and space, it can be the most effective method to make your home blend into the surrounding.

Tip: Change your graphic settings from Fast to Fancy to ensure that the leaves no longer appear transparent. This makes any buildup that occurs beneath the leaves completely invisible.

4. A1host Literal Tree House

If you want to take things to the next level of weird and unique, drop the chore of looking for the ideal tree for your home and instead make your own. Although it is not the most efficient way to make use of your resources, it can be enjoyable to construct your home so it looks like an actual tree.

5. Nether Tree House

The Nether has been gaining forest biomes in recent years which means you can make use of this green land to build a house high above the lowlands. Blocks that are exclusive to the Nether, like Crimson Blocks and Netherrack can make your home feel more at home in its surroundings, but also means that you could lose it as it blends in with the surrounding.

Nether Tree House in Minecraft

There are dangers abounding in the Nether If you have access to a surplus of Obsidian and other Obsidian, it could be worth building your house (or the outer shell at least) with it. This will lessen the damage caused by Ghast fireballs that are found close to your building.

6. Tree Root House

You want to be a bit different? Head underground with some Stripped Logs, and construct out some tree roots. By using the roots, you can hang a house from the ceiling of a cavern.

Incorporate some Pointed Dripstone, Spore Blossom and Glow Lichen to give it a a natural, overgrown look and your humble underground abode will be complete.

7. Bonus: Create a Tree House to Support Every Type of Tree

You can also create an a-tree house that fits every Minecraft tree kind if you're willing to it. All of them: Oak, Spruce Birch, Dark Oak, Jungle, and Spruce.
