Old Seed is a great way to save money on gardening supplies. If you're planning to grow your own tomatoes, you may have a handful of old seeds laying around. You can also use old seed if you're growing a garden in the fall. Many gardeners have found that old seeds are still good to plant the following year. They don't have expiration dates, and are still unopened. They should be stored in cool, dry conditions, but don't put them in the fridge or at room temperature. They should be kept in a mason jar or plastic zip bag for at least three days.
