YouTuber and Minecraft Streamer Technoblade, 23, Dies from Cancer

YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade was killed at the age of 23 after a long battle with stage four cancer.



The creator of content, who hails from San Francisco, who kept his identity closely guarded and only revealed his name in his final video, titled 'Alex', shot to fame after he began posting videos of himself playing Minecraft on YouTube in 2013 - going on to amass more than 10 million subscribers.

In a video uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel today with the title 'So long nerds', his father, whose name is unknown revealed the devastating announcement of his son's passing with his numerous fans and shared a posthumous farewell from the famed YouTube star.



He described his son as "the most amazing child" and shared an audio recording of his son. He stated that if he had another hundred lives, he'd choose to be Technoblade once more because these were the most memorable years of my life.

Technoblade was a very private and rarely shared personal details about his life mostly uploaded videos about the Sandbox game Minecraft.



He had three younger sisters and one brother who was named Chris and the dog Floof, who featured in his farewell video alongside his father.



In one video, he revealed his parents divorced, and he lived with his father, who owns a movie studio.



After high school, he took an absence year, before moving to Chicago where he went to college to study English major.

But he retreated to San Francisco after dropping out.



In one of his videos how he began the Tecnoblade channel to build confidence and get 10 million subscribers.



He quickly grew a following of millions by sharing numerous clips of himself playing Minecraft, although he never revealed his name or face to the fans.



He revealed the shocking news about his cancer diagnosis in August, in a video called "Where I've Been", which has been watched over 13 million times.



He told the story of being diagnosed with cancer following a suspicion that there was an injury to his arm.



The creator of the content (seen at left), who was not revealing his name or even his face prior to when his final video was posted was diagnosed with cancer stage 4 last year.



Thinking it was a stress-related injury due to his ongoing gaming, he took several days off before realizing that it wasn't going to go away.
