Visiting the film set of Leeds Bicycle can make any ride a memorable one. The bike store's film was filmed by a professional director. Routes

Getting around Leeds on bicycle is an excellent way to enjoy the countryside while at the same time maintaining your health. Many of the city's major roads have cycle paths and lanes. Look for the bike symbol to know if a lane is open for cyclists. Be sure to follow Highway Code guidelines and wear a high-visibility jacket when cycling. There are numerous routes for all skill levels. All of these routes include scenic countryside and stop at many must-see landmarks.

The most popular route runs from Leeds railway station to the city centre, from where you can choose from several cycling routes. This route will take you through the city's most beautiful areas, while offering the chance to visit quaint Yorkshire villages. The resurfacing of this section will continue until the end of the 2022. The earliest part of the route is in Shipley, and you can find a cycling route from there using Google Maps or Plotaroute.

Events

On July 1, the City of Leeds will host the first ever Holiday Bicycle Parade. The annual event brings the community together in patriotic red, white and blue and marching music. Local firefighters cheered on children as they zoomed by. The event has become one of the biggest cycling events in the UK, with over 6500 children trained through Bikeability every year. It is the perfect opportunity to switch up your daily commute and get fit while reducing your carbon footprint.

Bike enthusiasts are encouraged to attend the event, which is free to enter. The event will include a 5km predominantly traffic-free loop. It promises to be a fun day out for cyclists and spectators.
