The Minecraft Forum is an online community forum for Minecraft. It was founded on June 16 2009 by a member of the community citricsquid and has continued to be managed by the community, with Mojang Studios having no involvement in the day-to-day operations (although some Mojang Studios employees have accounts on the site).
Redstone Wire Ltd. was established in September 2010[1] to manage this site. On November 15 in 2010, Curse bought the site[2][3[3. Curse owned and operated the site until it became part of MagicFind in June 2019. The forum software used is known as Cobalt and was developed in-house by Curse.
The forum is a hub for the Minecraft community, with games, maps that are custom servers, resource packs, and servers all of which are shared. ejac.org The registration process is free, and anyone without an Minecraft account is able to use the site. Forum administration is overseen by citricsquid and PuyoDead as well as the forum moderators team is made up of over 100 [4] volunteers.
The homepage of the site includes news, videos, interviews, contests and articlesthat are related to Minecraft, Mojang Studios and the Minecraft community in general. The front-page news is curated by Sacheverell with videos from the MCSpotlights YouTube Channel and the Curse YouTube channel.
Citricsquid announced on May 20, 2019 that the forums would be restricted to read beginning June 16, 2019. 5 On May 20, 2019, citricsquid announced that the forums would become read-only on June 16, 2019. [6]
