Minecraft Maker's Newest Game Mixes Cliffs, Horses And Dogecoin

Markus "Notch" Persson is most well-known as the creator behind Minecraft however, he's also developing a reputation for eccentric games that cover everything from speed typing to existential drama. irc101.org Cliffhorse, his latest title, is evidence enough. It's absurd and, as the title suggests, it's absurd. You play as a horse that is pushing a huge rock ball along cliffs. However, the bare-bones design (which took all of two hours to build) is the main reason. Persson described the game for Windows only as a slam against developers who abuse early access programs. He charges a fee for "minimum work" releases that are believed to be the most important. He is aware of the irony, considering that he purchased Minecraft long before it was finished.



If the absurdity of the project were not evident, Notch will only accept voluntary Dogecoin donations for payment. Cliffhorse can be downloaded absolutely free of charge should you want. It's a good thing there is no profit model since there aren't guarantees for future updates. Persson's parody might not be enough to convince you to pay him in virtual currency. The launch might be useful when developers can do a little more work before requesting gamers to pay.
