The Morning After The Morning After Engadget

Bose is prepared to develop an entirely new design if the existing wireless earbuds are not working for you. These wireless Sport Open Earbuds won't fit inside your ear canal. They sit above your ear canal, allowing you to hear the music and still be able to hear the sounds around you.

Although the design is a bit awkward, Bose claims that they will stay in place in any weather. They also boast loud, clear audio that you can hear without having to blast it to everyone. I'll have to read reviews from experts in the field before I can be confident in the product. However, it is worth looking into a headset that will fit better.

'Minecraft Earth' will close on June 30th

Microsoft's AR mobile game was launched in the US last year.

Minecraft Earth players have until June 30th to play the augmented reality title before Microsoft shuts down its servers and it's no longer available to download from marketplaces for apps. According to its developer, Mojang Studios, "Minecraft Earth was designed to allow for the freedom of movement and collaboration which are now almost impossible to achieve in the current global situation."

The studio is rolling out one final update that it claims contains modifications "to make your time on Minecraft Earth as fun as possible." Alongside other changes that the update removes with real-money transactions and drastically reduces the time it will take for players to craft and construct items within the game.

The next-generation Tile tracker could utilize ultrawideband technology

AR could be used to track it. We're still waiting for dedicated tracker tags from Apple and Samsung, but Tile is trying to keep its edge. According to TechCrunch Tile is currently working on an application that uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, instead of Bluetooth to help find lost objects. UWB has many advantages over Bluetooth. Its high-frequency waves transmit spatial and direction data which make it more precise in locating tags and devices. The latest iPhones and Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 2, pack UWB functionality already. Continue reading.

Verizon puts 3G shutdown plans on hold for a while

It will keep the network operational alongside its 4G and 5G networks. Verizon Media, the parent company of Engadget isn't planning to shut down its 3G network in the near future. The spokesperson for Verizon, Kevin King, said that the company's 3G network is "operational" and the company doesn't plan to close it down. King said that Verizon would work with customers to transition to the latest technology and will "work with customers to help them transition."

Verizon stopped activating 3G phones in 2018 according to a statement that "virtually every traffic on [its] network [is] on its 4GLTE network" at the time. Verizon and King did not specify how many 3G phones were still connected. However this number could be significant in the event that the network remains in operation alongside 5G or 4G.
