Beam lets players suggest challenges to streamers and even alter in-game elements such as weapon loadout or the quest selection.

It also allows developers to create special button layouts for viewers to interact with games being streamed by Beam.

"We at Xbox are thrilled about this convergence between playing and watching and we want players to enjoy the freedom and choice of great multiplayer experiences across all Beam's platforms." Chad Gibson, a program manager of partner groups at Microsoft's Xbox Live division said in an announcement.
