Flare is a name I haven't heard of in quite a while. It's both an RPG and an engine for games that allows other developers to develop their own games. A massive new release is now available.
Flare is an engine for games that is focused on single-player action RPGs in 2D. It is not a reimplementation of anything else , but a tribute to the whole genre. The developers also created Flare: Empyrean Campaign to show it off a little.
The changelog is huge which isn't surprising, since this is the first complete release in a long time. The Flare RPG has received some gameplay updates.
New graphics for MP and HP status bars - Reworked art for the Cleave power - Cleave power radius reduced to closer match its artwork - Reduced the strength and radius of Rakk's freeze attack - Fixed the issue of the Goblin Thief's ability take potions from a Summoned Zombie - Reduced the hitbox of spike traps. This greatly decreased the damage of spike traps. Serverlist101 The traps now cause bleeding in exchange. New alchemy ingredient Mushrooms. - Added 4 new potion recipes - Overall reduced drop rates for alchemy items The quest is now available for Alchemy Add animations to help with immunity and ice-based slow state effects - Redesigned the Family Crypt map and quest - Redesigned the Nazia Mines maps and quest - Redesigned the Torture Chambers map and quest (again) Mortar and Pestle can now be placed on the action bar - All quest items can be stored in the player's private stash.
