The creators of a recent Minecraft documentary have posted it to The Pirate Bay in the hopes that those who download it will also contribute money their way.
Minecraft: The Story of Mojang is the debut feature-length documentary of 2 Player Productions, "just three guys trying to earn a living doing what we love" According to the Pirate Bay listing.
"We wanted to arrive here first , as the film would eventually end up here, and the best option was to start a dialog," stated the company.
"Torrents and piratery are ways to live and it's unlikely to be changing anytime in the near future."
The trio invites people who like their film to purchase a DRM-free copy for US$8(AU$7.69) or DVDs for $20 (AU$19.23).
"Maybe you don't have the money. Minecraft servers Maybe you'd like to try before buying. Perhaps you're angry at us for premiering the film on Xbox Live. These are all good reasons," 2 Player wrote.
