Minecraft Snapshot 20w30a

Today we're releasing Snapshot 20w30a for Minecraft Java Edition in which we have modified Bastion Remnants and also give you the ability to place lanterns in water.





Changes in 20w30a

- Modified the way the respawn locations are picked for anchors, beds or respawn beds. Lanterns are now waterlogged. They are also now waterlogged. Soul Lanterns are now waterlogged. The Bastion Remnant chest loot has been revamped. - Bastion Remnant chests are more likely to be located on top of gilded stones.





Respawn Block Positions

Respawn anchors will prioritise cardinal directions over corners. The players will be respawned on the block they entered from. - Players are no longer placed on dangerous blocks.

Technical Changes in 20w30a

- The sign edit screen will begin from existing text (should not have any noticeable impact on vanilla) Tags will now be entered with optional entries





Optional Tag Entries to Tag

Tags with optional entries can now also be marked. Failure to resolve the optional entries does not hinder the whole tag from loading.
