To install the OptiFine Mod for Minecraft as standalone configuration (without Minecraft Forge), ensure that you're running the most recent version of Minecraft and update to the latest version if you're not. After that start the Minecraft Launcher, click the Launch Options tab, and select Latest Release. Click the "Game Directory" button, highlight the directory and press Control + C (PC or Mac) to copy the URL. Close the Launcher, open your browser, and navigate to the official download page for OptiFine: https://optifine.net/downloads.php. Click the Download link, and click Save or OK to start the download. It will take a few minutes for it to finish. Double-click the file with the ending in.jar to begin the OptiFine installation. https://chakribakri.net/ Press Control + V (PC) or Command + V (Mac) to copy the correct installer directory into the "Folder" field. Then click Install and wait for the installation process to complete. Click on the OptiFine installer and then click PLAY. The process of installing the OptiFine mod in Minecraft is slightly different when you already have the Minecraft Forge mod installed. First, make sure that you have the most recent Minecraft version installed. If you don't have it, you can upgrade to the most recent version. Next, open your web browser and navigate to the official download page for OptiFine: https://optifine.net/downloads.php. Click the Download link, and click Save or OK to start the download. It will take a few seconds until it is completed. After that open your Minecraft mods folder and copy the OptiFine .jar file you just downloaded by pressing Control + C (PC) or Command + C (Mac). Right-click (or Control + click) the blank space within the mods folder, and choose Paste to copy the OptiFine .jar file into your mods folder. Now OptiFine can be used with Minecraft Forge.
