Sydney is still under lockdown. When I'm not working or spending time with partner I've been playing games or watching tv shows on two screen monitors for a long time.



Instead of searching for people in a MMO ( Wow! ) I am obsessing over making widgets and coal, as well as melting enough ore and Spaghetti,



Spaghetti in Satisfactory is the impression you have on your environment. The conveyor belts, pipelines, and electrical wires. My footprint was tiny when I started. Despite my mission to exploit the terrain for the purposes of my employer "Conquer nature, build multi-story factories and automate until you are satisfied!" I didn't really grasp the scope of possibilities until I began looking up stuff on youtube and figuring out the root cause of some of my automation difficulties. Glass, steel and concrete castles in the sky.



Look upon my works and then despair ( despair at my organized Chaos) I am very much grass based still. Its getting way to disorganised to manage now and so I am working on concrete constructors to get me started on building up.



I'm the sole person on this Map. The MAP is huge, I've not explored even a tiny fraction of it. It's an issue. Explore or continue forward. WOW-SERVERS I'm sure I use Biofuel frequently, so I try not to leave for too long. Some parts of my automation stop working so I am building more coal-powered stations. I have so far made my water pumps self-sufficient. I'm in need of boosting the power automation since my new train and train tack ( yes, how cool is that ) is powered by a power supply, so I had to disconnect it from my grid .



Early access is only available to Tier 8 and I am currently at Level 7 and trying to figure out the logistics of Aluminum smelting.



My footprint is massive on this planet - it's expanding. When I am better in the area of automation and tidying up, I'll build my dream factory with a glass wall in heaven.



the only permanency I have in World of Warcraft is my Garrison ( Remember those?) I've left the Christmas decorations on to allow me to change into a gnome whenever I feel like it. It's an area that I go to occasionally since it was my first try at housing for players.



I enjoyed playing ARK My Tamagotchi dinosaurs, which required regular feeding. You could lose your base or log in every day. You could build your base in the way you desired. I felt a part of that gaming world, because pieces of me were left behind. People could look at my base and my Albino Tyrannosaurus and neon pink Saddle. As a WOW player, I exist only in pixels. There is no physical evidence or symbol that I am there.



I love having that permanence and the sense that what I create is my own.



I am currently trying to find the technology advancement in satisfactory, but am enjoying the problem-solving and complete control over where I can develop. Ramps to no where to cross an ocean or a river, to get to drop pods. or just because I wanted to know what was ontop of a very tall rock. It's all there until I decide to get it off.
