Patch 4.1 Introduces Guild Finder Feature

Accessibility is the game's new theme in Cataclysm. Blizzard's next attempt to make guild accessibility more accessible is patch 4.1. The guild finder interface allows players searching for a guild to post information about their playing style, availability, classes, and more, and allows guilds to post recruitment announcements and announcements to the public realm.



The new guild finder feature is available to leaders of guilds with established members as well as guildless members, making communication between prospective recruits and their leaders more efficient. Grnonline The interface for the guild finder will only show guilds that are actively looking for new members through the finder. Guildless players have the ability to look through the ads for recruitment. Patch 4.1: Guild Locator



We'll be introducing the Guild Finder in patch 4.1. This new system is designed to make it easier and more efficient to find guild members. The Guild Finder will permit players and guild leaders to find a guild to call their home. This will allow them to make connections that can be the basis for the formation of a successful guild.



The Guild Finder is a game-wide bulletin board that lists active guilds. In the past, in World of Warcraft, your choices were limited. You'd have to public post on your realm forum message board, or speak to other players directly via private messages or chat channels. This can take a long time. Guild Finder will allow your "looking for new members" message to run all day long, accessible to all of the characters in your faction, from any location in the game.



A brand new Guild Finder button will now appear on your Micro Menu if you're either a leader in your guild or not a guild member.



You'll need to specify the interests of the guild (such PvP, Raids or Role Playing) and the times of week you are available (Weekdays/ Weekends), and the class roles you are seeking in new members (Tank Healer, Damage). The Comment field lets you to post anything about your guild or the kind of members you're seeking. Do you only allow female orcs? Are you noticing that your guild is slowly moving from raiding with 10 players to 25 players? Perhaps you'll only accept new members who are available to play on Thursdays at noon? This is the best place to let potential recruits know that your club is the right one for them.



From the viewpoint of an unguilded player, the Guild Finder allows you to browse a list of the guilds currently looking for new members. Launch the Guild Finder and tell it about your availability, class, and the type of activities you're looking for. Then click "Browse Guilds." The second tab will take you to a list with all the guilds seeking recruits that match your profile. Here you can read about them and, if you're interested in what you see, submit a request to join.



Requests to recruit guilds are displayed in the Requests tab. This tab lets guild leaders to examine potential recruits before proceeding with the final steps toward joining a new guild.



Whether you're a guild leader looking to fill your ranks or a player looking for a guild that meets your highest standards, the Guild Finder provides an easy way to make new friends!



This system is a major fan of mine personally. The idea of joining a server at the spur of the moment can be a headache sometimes, especially in the case where your WoW community isn't huge. Joining up with like-minded people to level and play together could very easily transition into a capable and coordinated endgame group, plus the reputation and experience bonus that come with guild leveling are fantastic bonuses.
