Quartz geodes in the Nether



Another method of obtaining quartz is to find it in the Nether instead of mining. They spawn below y 30 and are less than amethyst gedes. They are found in souls sand valleys more often, with just the top portion emerging.



They are made up of three blocks: crystalline quartz which is a semi-transparent quartz block that looks sort of blurry.
