Introduction to resources
Servers run on a collection of resources. A
resource
A collection of files, like server scripts and client scripts, that can be shut down, started and restarted at the click of a button.
Resource directories
Resources are loaded into the server via an area called resources/ located in the server data directory. Every folder in the resources/ folder is considered to be resources, with the exception of folders between [brackets] are categorizes that can contain multiple resource folders.
To be properly parsed as resource, each resource folder must contain a resource manifest reference that is known as "fxmanifest.lua" (or __resource.lua).

The resource manifest
Every resource is required to contain a resource manifest by the name of fxmanifest.lua defining what files/scripts are utilized by the resource. A quick example manifest follows:

Standard resources
Once you've installed your server, you'll see you already have quite a few resources. These are the basic resources that FiveM offers and maintains. It is recommended to keep them as they are without knowing what you're doing. These resources could be helpful for your server.
