I am a huge fan of Minecraft however the Switch Edition is the worst version I've ever played. It is slow and doesn't load chunks correctly (specifically, I am a huge fan of Minecraft, but this Switch Edition is the worst version I have ever played). It's slow, frequently slow, fails to load chunks correctly (specifically loading blocks, but leaving them invisible for long durations) mobs sometimes get stuck in place without reason, and it sometimes soft-locks when you enter menus, such as inventory by freezing the screen, forcing the user to restart the game. All of that is just what I've seen in the the offline single-player mode. Minecraft Servers I can barely even play local multiplayer with one person because the issues I mentioned earlier are far more difficult. The glitches in the local multiplayer are outrageous in comparison to the single player. Even if you manage to tolerate the multiplayer glitches, it inevitably will crash after about 5 minutes.
It was my copy of the game which I thought might be the cause. However, I have tried other digital and physical copies and they all worked the same way. Somehow the Wii U version and Pocket Edition are both a lot more stable and playable than the Switch version.
