YouTuber from Minecraft Technoblade has died aged 23. His family have confirmed the news in a poignant goodbye video that was posted on his behalf.



The video, which was titled "solong geeks", was posted to his 10 million followers and showed his father calling him "the best kid anyone could ever ask for".



The US internet celebrity gained fame by livestreaming and sharing videos of himself playing the sandbox video game.



In the year 2000, Technoblade revealed to fans that he was diagnosed with cancer.



His father read his farewell message a few hours before his passing. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." If you're watching this. I am dead."



He then admitted that his real name was Alex. He recalled the time he tricked viewers into believing his name to be Dave.



He said, "Thank you all so much for supporting my work throughout these years," he added. "If I had another hundred lives I'm pretty sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade each time since those were the most enjoyable years of my life."



The online star, who took home Minecraft tournaments, and had thousands of fans praising him in a humorous manner when playing the game explained in a video for fundraising that he received radiation therapy, chemotherapy as well as a limb-rescue operation after developing a painful tumor.



Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer was the cause of the death of his father.



In August 2021, he announced his diagnosis of cancer. He said that he initially believed that the pain he was experiencing was due to an injury to the muscles due to playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer after his arm became swollen.



It is not known much about Technoblade who kept his true identity secret until the very end. But his online avatar was a picture of the crown-crowned pig.



He has 10.8 million viewers on his YouTube channel, and he bio reads: "I play video games often. Although I'm not the greatest, I do have hot elbows.



'Strategizing in heaven'



Fans of fellow gamers, fellow gamers, and YouTubers paid tribute to him online after learning of his passing.



"I'll never forget the day I met Technoblade," recalled J Schlatt. "I left my job early to join him in an Minecraft tournament. I didn't know how to play... but the dude was able to keep us entertained throughout the whole event.



"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll be a legend for the rest of your life.



YouTuber Captain Puffy Captain Puffy, aka Cara tweeted: "Rest in peace Technoblade He treated me with pure kindness and never denied me access to anything. He couldn't be more gracious!"



She added: "Thank you for everything you've done for this community. It won't be the same without you."



Tommy Innit said: "Technoblade is an icon. I cannot express how grateful I am to be an integral part of his life, from being a huge fan to one of his closest friends. I know he is working in heaven to overcome God ...".



"I've been watching Technoblade's videos for the past hour," added Ludwig Ahgren. "He was so funny, so humble even in the most difficult of circumstances. He will always be a role model to me."



Quackity also expressed his appreciation on the internet, writing: "I had to have the opportunity to share how much admiration I had for Technoblade, not only for his immense impact on the world but also for his incredible humour, even in the darkest times." I will miss him very much."



Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May rest and be at peace."



Technoblade's dad thanked fans in the video that he sent to fans saying: "You meant a lot to him."



He explained that a portion of the profits from online orders for the items of his son's death will now be donated to charities.



The video concluded with a letter from his family. It included the following: "We, the family of Technoblade wanted everyone to know how much he adored and respected his fans and his colleagues.



"From Technoblade's first days online, he was always strategizing ways to please and reward his fans by offering online prizes as well as encouraging good sportsmanship and of course, sharing his Minecraft adventures for fun and entertainment.



"Even after his eventual success he managed to maintain his good-natured humour, and compete with a charming balance of confidence and self-deprecating wit."



Minecraft lets users create their own experiences in an imaginative virtual worlds by digging holes to gather blocks.



Recent modifications to the game have been utilized by children to develop their skills in the workplace, and to tackle real-world issues such as flooding.



Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly funny" and "endlessly talented". He said, "Gone too quickly."



Bad Boy Halo also paid their tributes, saying: "Words cannot express how you'll miss. Minecraft server list The lives you've touched and the impact you've had on them will be with us forever."



Slimecicle said Technoblade's "personality and sense of humour are an source of inspiration for me and many others."



"Thanks for all you have done to make this the world a better place, you will always be a legend."
