Minecraft star Stampy Cat to present an RSE Christmas message

YouTube and Minecraft legend Stampy Cat will deliver a lecture to more than 2,000 Dundee schoolchildren.
Stampy - his real name is Joseph Garrett - will give the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Christmas Lecture at the city's Caird Hall on Monday.
The creator of the "Let's Play" videos for Minecraft and other games has more than 6.7m users on his YouTube channel.
The lecture will be broadcast exclusively on BBC iPlayer next Thursday.
BBC Scotland reported that Minecraft fans will have the opportunity to watch Stampy show how he makes his videos during a discussion with Chris van der Kuyl, Dundee games entrepreneur.
Stampy will share his story of what made his Christmas special , and give an insight into his life.
Van der Kuyl stated that Stampy was the "epitome digital native of the 21st century" who would inspire audiences regardless of age.
"Stampy is an inspiring persona for a whole new generation who can clearly see future careers will be based on a unique combination of talents, creativity , and technical abilities that can all be learned," he said.
The RSE lecture will be presented as part of BBC Make it Digital, an initiative designed to promote digital creativity among young people.
