Warcraft-Source Mod for EventScripts was started in 2006 by a programmers named Kryptonite. It was based off of WC3 by Pimpin Juice which was a warcraft mod for CS 1.6. It was in the midst of a lot of development when it was released in public versions with Kryptonite as the leader of the coding team of WCS. Then it stopped official development towards the end of the 2008 at version .77. ASEANBIOTECHNOLOGY A few people met to develop new versions of the WCS mod. Warcraft:Source Python was a total transformation of WCS code into Python to improve stability and speed. The project was helmed by Jeff91 and Freddukes. Development of the project was halted after a year. After the release of the Orange Box update a lot of addons and functions broke which was a huge slap in the face of us, but it also forced us to come up with all sorts of updates. Hetal the current leader of the official Warcraft-Source.com assigned La Muerte to be the manager of the site layout. Now Tha Pwned has rewrote Warcraft Source: Shell in EventScripts: Python but still keeping its races coded in a format similar to Warcraft Source: Shell's races, which granted the new recode to have great stability but keeping its same flexibility to be customized as before.

WCS comes with a default racelist of 12 races. The racelist is completely editable with complete freedom to customize. On the official Warcraft Source website, you can find add-ons and races that enhance the WCS gameplay.
